| Lincoln County is a new show for us but it has such a good reputation that I decided to see for myself. It is one of THE most beautiful showgrounds, immaculate lawns, rings and precise hedging. Dessie proceeded to win the Hunter Broodmare Class and stand Champion mare of teh Small Hunter winner. Her foal followed suit and won and was Champion foal. Chips won the mixed Three Year old class and stood overall Youngstock Champion. These results meant that all three horses were now elidgable to contest the HOYS cuddy qualifier. I took the mare, Clare showed the foal and Viv showed the filly. The mare disgraced herself by putting in a huge buck in her trot up directly in front of the judge. Chips was as ever the professional, standing square, pricking her ears as she swung into trot and looking every bit the super star she is rapidly becoming. We were thrilled when she was pulled forward as Reserve. Along drive home late into the night but worth it. |
