 Or should I say Bath and Wet! This has been a show of mixed fortune for us in the past. 2009 proved to be better. Euphoria won her Broodmare class and the mare Championship. Her foal, Langaller After Dark was second. Hovis won his 3 year old class. Euphoria then took the overall led Championship. The Riding Horse classes followed immediately and despite telling the stewards that we would be straight back with our mare by the time we had trooted Euphoria back and trotted Penny down the class was well under way and we snuck in gingerly to the end of the line. Sadly Penny was, I think, very hard done by to stand 5th. The hack filly thankfully returned us to form by winning the hack 2 year old class for Jane Ellis. Stephen does a super job of showing this filly. We returned with Euphoria on the Friday to contest the Cuddy qualifier. I think there were 18 Champions forward and so we were delighted to stand as first reserve. |
