| Here we go again, 2009! A new venture for this year is having a ridden show horse.Having sold our Eventer Langaller Bisto earlier in the year we were delighted to take on the small hack mare Woodlander Firefly by our own Daws Firebird. Fly came to us in March and went straight to our friend and local producer Wendy Gibson. Wendy has produced so many top show horses from Natives and Coloureds to Hacks,Riding Horses and Hunters. This was our first outing with Fly and I watched feeling very 'detatched' at the ring side. The class was for small hacks and there were 9 in the class, 7 of which had previously attained their HOYS tickets in earlier seasons. We were delighted that Fly stood second. |
