We are very excited to introduce our ‘new’ Thoroughbred stallion Sea Heir. We believe he is the only stallion son of the great Kuwait Beach who was ranked number three in the world in the Eventing sire’s list of the World Breeders’ Federation. Kuwait Beach sired many Advanced Eventers, probably the most well known being the Oylmpic medallist Sleep Late ridden by Ingrid Klimke. Sea Heir’s dam, Ophiuchus comes from an exceptional Thoroughbred linage which includes another strong Eventing sire, Nadar who was in turn by Gunner B reknowned for his National Hunt offspring.
Ophiuchus, although never raced excelled in the show ring winning many classes up to and including County level. She bred a number of foals all of which have excelled in their chosen disciplines including racing, showing, and Point to Pointing. Her last foal, a filly, by National Hunt sire Weld, has been retained by us.
Sea Heir is seven this year and stands at 16.1hh. He is unbroken due to a stifle injury sustained as a two year old which necessitated being turned away for a considerable time. He is completely sound and ran with a few of our mares at the end of last summer.
As ever the eventing fraternity are constantly looking for good Thoroughbred stallions who have the pedigree to produce speed and stamina; with Sea Heir you can add movement, substance and temperament. His cadence and elevation are incredible, his substance is ‘old fashioned’ and rare in a Thoroughbred and his temperament is quite simply outstanding. This young horse ran with his first mares through last summer and has come onto the yard without so much as a squeak or a nip.
Now that his fertility has been proven he is offered at public stud for the first time. Without being advertised he already has a number of mares booked and has caused
quite a ripple of interest in the breeding world.
Do come and see for yourself.
Sea Heir stands alongside Langaller’s established stallions; Sandy’s Light, Lostock Huntsman, Daws Firebird, No Submission, Prince Of Darkness, Weld, Catherston Liberator and Shipton Teasel
